We hope everyone had enjoyable holidays and are now ready to take a bit of a break. The Invitational Committee is making progress! Check out some of the details below.
REGISTRATION IS OPEN!
Just click on the link and you’ll be walked through all the items you will want to register for, including the actual test and the various dinners.
If you’d like to see the entire schedule, please check out the Calendar (under Events) which lists the time and location of all events. For example, the Welcome Reception and Check-in will be Wed, June 15th from 9:30 - 11:30. Also, we’ll be offering hot breakfast on the grounds each morning of the test. Start your day off right!
For the Land Series, we will be transporting you to Hawaii! So dig out those Hawaiian shirts from the back of your closet and join us while we virtually transport you to Hawaii for hunting on Thursday. The entire day will be Hawaiian-themed, so you’ll want to wear that Hawaiian camo for the hunts.
We’ll conclude the evening with a Hawaiian-themed dinner, thanking all the hard workers who make this event possible. Don’t miss out!
Prefer not to worry about your lunch each day? We will have hot dogs and hamburgers available for purchase on the grounds every day of the test. Keep your life simple!
Check back from time to time to see updates, as we firm up the start times each day and make any adjustments.
The store is now open and ready for your purchases. Check it out for various mementos of the event. Items will be available for pick up at check-in on Wednesday, June 15th. If you wish to order something and are unfortunately unable to join us in person, please be aware a shipping fee will be added to the cost.
If you’d like to support NAHRA and the event, please feel free to become a sponsor. All dollar levels are available and welcome.
As you’re probably aware, the qualifications for the Invitational have changed. We hope you’ll check HuntSecretary.com frequently for upcoming events and enroll in open events to ensure you’re qualified and able to join us in June! Support your regional clubs as tests become available.

The 2022 NAHRA Invitational Committee
Welcome NAHRA Members and Friends!
I would like to welcome you all to a New Year for NAHRA and invite each of you to this year’s Invitational! We have many things to be thankful for and to look forward to in the year ahead. This year’s Invitational committee is hard at work preparing an event to rival any in the past, a high bar I know, but they are up to the task. I look forward to seeing all of you at the event. For those of you who cannot be there in person, we are working on expanded social media coverage of the event and hope to have regular updates during the event. Based on the early review of schedules there will be plenty of opportunities to get those last passes to qualify you and your favorite hunting partner for the Invitational. I encourage everyone to support your local and regional clubs by participating in the testing in your area. For those of you who have not attended an Invitational event, it will be three days of some of the finest dog work in the country, along with good food, great company, and lots of prizes! And perhaps the best thing of all, Memories!
Even with the Thanksgiving holiday around the corner, your Invitational Committee has been hard at work planning for the big event in 2022.
If you haven’t already seen it, please pay special attention to the new qualification requirements defined by the NAHRA Executive Board Of Directors for participation in the 2022 Invitational. We hope everyone is hard at work preparing for upcoming tests! If you have buddies who play the HRC/UKC, AKC, or CKC games, please encourage them to qualify and attend as well. The qualification requirements can be found here
The Committee has decided to hold the Opening Banquet at the Ramada Inn at the airport in Spokane, WA. If you’ve attended Regional events here, you may be familiar with what a great job they do for us. The menu selection is underway, and the purchase options will be available through the website in the future.
You will note that the Ramada Inn is one of the suggested options for hotel accommodations. We have reserved a block of rooms with a room rate of $120, and they’ve agreed to a reduced pet fee. When registering at the Ramada, please call this specific number 509-777-3053 between the hours of 9 AM and 5 PM Pacific time and indicate you are part of the SBDA Invitational group, so they will know to assign one of the reserved rooms at the special rate. Make reservations no later than June 1, 2022.
You will also see suggestions for RV parks if that is something you’re interested in. Please be aware that dry camping on the Espanola training grounds will be minimal, so you may want to consider one of the RV options.
We’ve also been looking over clothing choices with hopes we can find items that are exactly what you’ve been waiting for. Once finalized, those too may be purchased via the website.
We know when you arrive, you will be looking for good training grounds. We have secured several options with different topography at each, easily accommodating everyone and providing a great variety. More details to come.
To ensure everyone has a great start to their day, we have a couple of generous folks who will be offering hot breakfast on the grounds, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of the event. Plan accordingly!
Much more information to come as we continue to firm up plans for this great event.
Everyone on the Invitational Committee hopes everyone has an enjoyable, fun-filled Thanksgiving with good friends, family, and hopefully a hunt or two with your four-legged family.
